How to teach your assistant about your business

Where do I go to make this change?

From your Dashboard, locate the assistant that you wish to edit (most people only have one, but we support multiple assistants) and click the Control Panel (this is the button with the three dots, sometimes called an ellipsis menu). From there click Update Business Info.

What does this page do?

This page allows you to teach your assistant some of the basics of your business. If this is pre-populated the first time you look at this page it is because you allowed us to scrape some of this data from your website during your account setup.

Entering your website address, services provided, locations serviced, opening hours and pricing information here will allow your assistant to provide some simple answers to your callers. You should use the Knowledge Base to add more details.

You can also specify likely keywords to listen for on this page. This is a comma-separated list of common phrases to your business or clients that allows the assistant to pick it up correctly. This might be names of brands, people or places or it might be specific to your products or services.

The way generative AI works is that it predicts the most likely next word or phrase based on the data it has just received. Entering a list of likely keywords to listen for makes it focus on words and phrases that you and your callers use regularly.
