How can I keep control of my SMS costs?

  • Every new subscriber gets a generous allowance of free SMS messages to try out the capability. There is no time limit on using these.

  • As a subscriber, you will see the Subscriber Info section on your Dashboard. This summary includes Free SMS messages sent, as well as the number of Paid SMS Sent in Billing Period.

  • Outbound SMS messages to your callers are linked to the conversation they were sent from, so you'll see them tagged on the table on your Call History page. You will also see the details of the text message at the bottom of the relevant Call Details page.

  • From your dashboard menu, there is a link to SMS History which has a full list of all SMS messages sent - both inbound notifications and outbound messages to callers.

Am I charged for SMS messages that are attempted but not delivered?

No. The most common scenario for an SMS message not being delivered is when the assistant asks the caller what number they would like the message sent to, and the caller accidentally gives an inaccurate phone number. This won't be charged to your account.
