Smart SMS Notifications

This helps people to set up custom rules when they'd like to receive SMS notifications after calls.

Written by Seán McCarthy

When the AI Phone Assistant has completed each call, the details will be available on the Call History page within 1-2 minutes (the longer the call, the longer it takes to process).

We offer Email Notifications as part of your monthly subscription, but sometimes there are scenarios where you don't have your inbox open or there's a type of call that always needs a quick response.

Smart SMS Notifications is a feature for people who need to take urgent action for specific types of calls.

First, open your Dashboard and find the assistant on the that you want to enable SMS notifications for (most people only have one, but we support multiple assistants).

Click View More to expand the control panel

Click Notifications Centre.

Click the SMS Notifications tab at the top of the page.

From this page there are several options to choose from:

  1. Enable Receive SMS notifications after calls

  2. Make sure you add a mobile number that can receive SMS messages (this must be an Ireland or a UK mobile number)

  3. You can decide whether or not to include abandoned calls (these are calls shorter than 20 seconds or when the caller doesn't speak)

  4. You can select the Sender ID that is used to send notifications (this is the From name that will appear on the phone).

At this stage if you keep Smart Notifications set to disabled you will get an SMS notification after every call.

If you do enable Smart Notifications, you will be presented with a description and a text box to enter your description.

Make sure to save your changes at the bottom of the page. Changes are immediate and will affect your next call.

How it works

After every call, the AI takes three inputs - the call transcript, the topic identified and the lead score - and evaluates them against the smart notification that you describe.

If the call details trigger the notification, you will receive an SMS with a short summary of the call, the caller's ID and a link to the Call Details page with the full detail.

This smart notification you enter is evaluated by AI which can make mistakes.
Check all transcripts and never fully rely on the output of AI.

How much does it cost?

If I manage more than one assistant, can I manage SMS notifications separately?

Yes, each assistant is treated separately to give you more control.
