How to talk to data from your own website in 3 minutes

The way our service works is that you can create an account for free, add data about your business, pick your accent, define behaviours and run as many test calls as you want. You only start a paid subscription at the point that you want to connect a local phone number to your assistant to use for your business.

To get started, here are the steps

  • Click Sign up for free from the homepage

  • Enter your name and email address

  • Open your inbox and retrieve the verification code to confirm your email address

  • Set a password and your account has been created

⏰ At this point, set your timer for 3 minutes!

Give your assistant some 'Starter Content'

  • Your workspace will load, then click Let's get started!

  • Click Enter your Business Website

  • Enter your Business Name and the country you're registered in. If you're not a registered business you can still use Bot Bureau services as an individual, but the phone number assigned will be a Dublin number instead of a local one.

If you enter your website address at this point and consent to scraping, your AI assistant will try to visit your website and create some starter content to learn about your business. This prevents you needing to re-key data manually at a later step. This is a one-time data scrape - future changes are not synchronised. Some websites have anti-scraping technology built in; we can't scrape those.

  • Agree to the Terms of Service and click Submit

Pick your accent

  • Click Choose your Assistant's voice

  • From the list of options, filter by Gender and Accent

  • The names on this screen are the voice artists who added their voices to the library. This is an internal name only on the system; your assistant will not use this name in conversation with your callers.

  • Press play for each voice and listen to sample audio. Voices are recorded at different speeds and you can speed this up later in your configuration settings, so don't worry if your perfect voice is a bit slower than you hoped for.

  • If there is an accent that you want to use which isn't on the list, just get in touch - we can probably find it for you

  • Click Use voice on the profile that you want to use for your first call. You will be able to come back and change this later if you want.

  • Click Next Step at the top of the page

Making your first Test Call

  • Now the system will create your assistant for you, add your website data and the accent that you've selected.

⏰ Stop the clock! You're ready to make your first test call. Yes, really!

  • Click Make your first test call when the link appears

  • In the bottom corner of the screen click Call now from within your browser, then click the phone icon to start your first call.

Have a proper chat with your assistant.

Ask it questions about information that you know is on your homepage.

Ask it a typical question that one of your callers might ask on the phone.

Ask for a quote or a callback and see what it says.

How did it do? Not bad for 3 minutes work, right?
