⚠ Important: If you use call forwarding from an existing phone number to the number provided by Bot Bureau, you will need to check whether your callers' phone numbers are coming through individually in your Call History page, or whether this is overridden by your existing phone number (i.e. the one doing the forwarding).

You cannot block calls if the caller's phone number doesn't come through to Bot Bureau.

We support two types of call blocking:

1. Block individual numbers

There are three ways to block an individual number:

  1. Manually add numbers to block on the Manage Blocked Callers page

  2. Click Block this Caller from the table on the Call History page (click the three dots on the right to see this option)

  3. Click Block this Caller from the bottom of any Call Details page

Numbers must have the international dialling code added (Irish numbers must start in 353 for example).

Individual calls are blocked at account level and is applied to all of your assistants.

2. Block all international callers

You can block all callers from outside Ireland and UK in one fell swoop.

Locate the Block all international callers section on the Manage Blocked Callers page. Find the assistant(s) that you want to update, click the 3 dots on the right and then click either Block or Allow beside each.

Geographic blocks are made at assistant level. Each assistant can have different rules.

Where do I go to manage blocked callers?

From your Dashboard, look for the page menu (either visible on the left or hidden under a hamburger menu icon) and click Manage Blocked Callers.

How do I remove the block on a number?

On the Manage Blocked Callers page, click Allow this number beside any blocked number you want to allow.

What does a blocked caller hear if they do call?

A blocked caller will hear nothing when they call the number and the call will terminate in around 5-10 seconds. Account holders will not be charged for these calls.
